Arvi ia a San Francisco based designer and educator with over 15 years of product and brand design experience. Arvi is currently a Product Design Lead at SoFi building experiences that will redefine the people's relationship with their financial institutions.
Previously, Arvi was a Visual Design Lead at Fitbit leading the activity and exercise team designing experiences for both mobile and device. Prior to Fitbit, Arvi was a Product Designer at Facebook. He worked with the Ads team building tools, for both sophisticated and novice advertisers, to provide advertisers with insights to measure their ad performance to achieve their sales and marketing goals.

Building products that are used by over a billion people around the world. While at Facebook, Arvi designed and built product experiences for Facebook’s ad and commerce group. Products built while at Facebook included: Page Insights, Audience Insights, Payments & Commerce, and Legacy.
Creative direction and design development of user experience and interface design helping to envision, design, and build digital products and experiences for a wide range of nationally recognized clients in the technology, education, and lifestyle industry. Hot Studio was acquired in 2013 by Facebook.
Creative direction, strategy, design development, project and client management of award-winning work for clients in the technology, education, financial, and consumer industry. Arvi led a team of designers and developers to create strategically and beautifully designed projects ranging from annual reports, corporate identity, integrated branding systems, marketing communications, websites and video.
For nearly a decade, Arvi co-chaired Sappi’s Ideas that Matter, the industry’s only grant program aimed at helping designers to contribute their talent to charitable causes. This included playing a strategic role in developing the program to enable Sappi to become a thought leader; garnering participation for the grant program within the design community; leading the design team and developing the Ideas that Matter brand for North American for nearly a decade. To date, Sappi has contributed over $15 million dollars worldwide to causes that enhance our lives and communities.

As AIGA SF’s social impact chair, Arvi promoted and supported design for social good through networking and collaboration with like-minded individuals and organizations. We foster close working relationships between designers and the non-profit community. We provide a forum for socially responsible design through cause/affect, an international biennial design competition that celebrates the work of designers and organizations who set out to positively impact our society.
• Created awareness and education around how designers and the non-profit community can mutually benefit from closer working relationships.
• Provided guidance, leadership and resources to the design community and encouraged corporations and individuals to follow best practices with regard to socially responsible design.
• Led AIGA SF efforts on social impact advocacy and advocated the responsibility of design for social good to AIGA National.
Classroom, one-on-one instruction, lectures and group critique through a type systems class. Students not only learned how to design but also learned to self initiate, explore and conceptualize intelligent and thoughtful design solutions.
